| ok, so i wake up at nathans, as i slept over. We go to the mall to buy the new They Might Be Giants album "The Spine" the mall wasn't open yet so Dave and I went to the other mall after a visit to dunkin donuts.
So when we get to FYE they only have one copy. So we had to go to cuircut city, where it seemed they had NO copies. they just hadn't put them out yet. So i went home only to get a phone call. It was mike wondering if I wanted to go to the Mall. So off I went to tht mall i just got home from. once there we left pretty soon, but not without one game of DDR! we didn't do half bad.
So we went to my house and played some video games. Afterwards, we went over to mikes, where i watched Jurassic Park for the first time in just about forever. Then Mike and I were picked up by Marc, Pat, and Meggie. So we were off to marcs house and then Providence to go see this little old band called Streetlight Manifesto. Oh yeah, and this other band played called Big D & the Kids Table. So we get to prvidence and we can't find the place. were walking around when i spot this guy who looks alot like Thomas Kalnoky from streetlight. well, it WAS! I went over to him and said Hi and asked where the place was. sadly, he was lost also and couldn't really remember where it was. so we went off in search of locals. We ment this guy teyrone who was drunck off his ass and tried to sell to us. Well, he got us more lost and we had to start from scratch. ended up that we were close to it the whole time, and just should have walked a little bit further. so we get to the place and we get in. I got to the merch table and turns out mike adams (who was infront of me) got the last medium zipper hoddie. i had to wait for like 15 minutes while they got more. so then we played pool in the back of the bar and wait ed for the shitty opening band to finish.
Well, luckly they did and Streetlight Got up ther e and played the Greatest show i have ever been to. Not to mention we had an awesoome crowed of almost all Ska kids who know how to skank and not just mosh hardcore style. So they played all there songs except point / counterpoint, but I'll get over it. they did a cover and before hand they said this is a over from a band that's no longer around and i said "Catch 22?" but when i did it was dead silent so everyone heard me and the whole place started laughing. It was ill. When i went to sit down in the back for a bit we met up with chris and moose and (mostly) the rest of the boys (and one girl) from p 17. Chris was pissed they didn't play. Then Big D agot up and put on an amazing set list. After that we went home and dropped off mike. soon after we were pulled over and the cops were all asking marc if he'd ever been arested before. It ended up his sticker had expired in febuary and they ran his plates and they came up as that of a covicts i guess. We got away fine though.
and so ends the coolest day ever. |
